The Nine Clinic

Private general practice

Private GP appointments

Talk through your health concerns with a doctor and leave with a clear understanding of the next step. The Nine Clinic offers private GP consultations for new symptoms, ongoing concerns and medical advice, with 15- and 30-minute appointments available.

Your doctor will take a history, examine you where appropriate and discuss the options with you. Treatment, tests and referrals depend on your individual clinical needs.

Start with the concern that matters to you

You do not need to know which test or specialist you might need before speaking to a GP. A consultation is a place to explain your symptoms, ask questions and review relevant medical history.

Your GP may recommend treatment, further investigation, monitoring or specialist assessment. If a prescription or referral is appropriate, your doctor can discuss it with you. Booking an appointment does not guarantee a particular medicine, test or referral.

For an ongoing concern, bring previous results and a list of your medicines. This helps your doctor understand what has already been investigated and what may need reviewing.

Choose an appointment length

A 15-minute consultation costs £100. A 30-minute consultation costs £200 and gives more time when you have several concerns or a more detailed history to discuss. If you are unsure which option to book, contact the team for help.

Tests and additional services are charged separately where applicable. The fees page sets out current charges; ask the team to explain costs before arranging investigations.

Services that can support your care

Same-day appointments: check availability if you need a consultation today. Contact the team if the online diary does not show a suitable time. Availability is not guaranteed.

Blood tests: discuss appropriate investigations with a GP, understand the cost and preparation, and receive advice about results and follow-up.

Health screening: consider a personalised assessment based on your history and risk factors, with the benefits and limitations of proposed checks explained.

Specialist and diagnostic referrals: where clinically appropriate, your GP can help you access further assessment and discuss what happens next.

What happens at a consultation?

Before your appointment, make a note of your main concerns and bring relevant medical information. During the consultation, your doctor will ask about your symptoms, their timing and how they affect you. An examination may be appropriate.

You can ask about the options, why a test is being suggested and what to do if symptoms change. Your doctor will discuss the next steps and whether follow-up is needed. If investigations are arranged, confirm how and when you should expect the results.

Questions about private GP care

Do I need to book a test before seeing a doctor?

If you are unsure which test you need, start by discussing your concern with a GP. Investigations should answer a clinical question rather than be selected only from a list.

Can a private GP refer me to a specialist?

Your doctor can arrange a referral where clinically appropriate and explain the next step. Additional provider fees may apply.

Are prescriptions included automatically?

No. A prescription depends on the assessment and clinical suitability. Ask the team about applicable charges.

Can I arrange ongoing care?

Discuss follow-up with your doctor and the clinic team. Appointment and clinician availability may vary.

Can I book for today?

Check the same-day service and current availability. Please book before travelling.

The Nine Clinic also has a Sloane Square clinic. Contact the team to confirm service availability and booking arrangements for your preferred location.
