How to arrange an appointment today
Check the online diary for your preferred location and appointment length. If a suitable time is not shown, contact the team: some appointments may be held for same-day bookings, and staff can explain the current options.
Tell the team if you are seeking a blood test, screening assessment or another service that may require a different booking. Please confirm your appointment before travelling. Same-day care is not a promise of immediate walk-in access.
What your GP can help you decide
Your consultation starts with your symptoms and relevant medical history. The doctor will assess your concern, examine you where appropriate and discuss a plan. That may involve advice, treatment, a test or referral, depending on what is clinically appropriate.
A same-day appointment does not guarantee a same-day scan, test result or specialist consultation. If further investigations are recommended, your doctor or the team will explain the arrangements and expected timing.
Private prescriptions may be issued when appropriate following assessment; a requested medicine cannot be guaranteed in advance.
Appointment length and cost
The published fee is £100 for a 15-minute GP consultation and £200 for 30 minutes. Contact the team if you have several concerns or are unsure which appointment length to choose.
Blood tests, referrals and other services may have additional fees. Ask for details of proposed charges before arranging them.
Same-day care at Harley Street
Our Harley Street clinic is at 78 Harley Street, London W1G 7HJ, in Marylebone. Published hours are Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm. Select Harley Street when booking, and contact the team before your visit if you have access requirements.
Bring a medication list and any relevant medical letters or results. It can help to write down when your symptoms started and the questions you would like to ask.
Choosing the right service
A booked private GP consultation is not an emergency service. For a life-threatening emergency, call 999. If you need urgent advice and are unsure where to turn, NHS 111 can help direct you. Do not delay urgent care while waiting for an appointment.
If your concern is about a general check-up rather than new symptoms, contact the team to discuss health screening and the right booking. If you already have a test request, ask about the blood-test process before selecting a standard GP slot.

Is an appointment today guaranteed?
No. Availability depends on the diary and your needs. Check online or contact the team for current options.
Can I walk in without booking?
Please arrange an appointment first. The same-day service is a booked consultation, and an available slot cannot be assumed.
Can I have a blood test at the same appointment?
Your GP can discuss whether testing is appropriate. Collection arrangements, availability and costs need to be confirmed with the team.
Will I receive a prescription?
Only if your doctor considers it clinically appropriate. The consultation is an assessment, not a guaranteed prescription service.
What if there are no online appointments?
Contact the clinic to ask about current availability. If you need urgent medical help, use the appropriate urgent or emergency service rather than waiting for a booking.
